Supporting Veterans and Their Families in Rural Indiana

Founded in the fall of 2025, Rural Indiana Veterans Alliance (RIVA) is a community led 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to veterans in rural communities throughout Indiana. Our mission is to ensure our veterans have access to the services, care, and benefits they deserve. We build partnerships with local CVSOs and agencies, advocate for improved access and resources, and preserve veterans’ legacies for future generations through service and life history preservation.

Rural Indiana Veterans Alliance is committed to remaining fluid, responsive, and forward-thinking in how we serve veterans. Systems, policies, and community needs are constantly evolving—and so is our approach. By staying grounded in real-world experience while remaining open to innovation and collaboration, RIVA ensures that our services evolve alongside the veterans and communities we serve—never locked into outdated models, and always focused on what works.
